It all began walking my dog, Mickey, by the Hudson River. Joined by my newest friend and neighbor, Yasmeen Hassan, I learned about Equality Now’s life-changing work to protect the human rights of women and girls around the world. As the organization’s global executive director, Yasmeen shared heartbreaking stories of the abuses women are facing across the globe. As she described the unbelievable challenges to advocate for women, I became more and more furious. In the middle of our walk, people stared as I shouted: “Why aren’t people doing more to help? What can I do to make a difference?”
It was time to change the game! That’s when ROUND + SQUARE was born.
Working in fashion for over 20 years, I became tired of the industry’s lack of support for women’s rights. Guided by my passion to create something driven by values, I established a conscious fashion brand focused on style, substance and sustainability. Everyone loves fashion and wants to do good. Why not create beautifully designed products, through an efficient supply-chain model, using sustainable materials and methods, that allows you to support Equality Now’s brave and tireless advocacy for women and girls?
Inspired by the powerful stories of women fighting for their rights, each piece has been thoughtfully designed by me, incorporates messages of peace, prosperity and gender equality.

By selling exclusively online, we removed layers of unnecessary costs by cutting out the middleman and bypassing the traditional wholesale process.
This method also benefits our environment. As a result, we are able to further invest in product quality and maximize the giving opportunity for our charity partners. With this system, everyone wins.

ROUND + SQUARE emphasizes the use of sustainable materials and processes by using 100% organically farmed cotton (GOTS certified) and woven labels made of yarn recycled from PET bottles.
Our suppliers use innovative methods to make a difference, such as Canepa’s Kitotex® printing process that cuts down water use and toxins. High labor standards are our mantra – and we steer away from unfair, slave and child labor. Healthy planet. Satisfied workers. Happy you.

Our founder is inspired by the organization’s remarkable work using the law to create a more just world where women and girls enjoy the same rights as men and boys.
